Accident

I came face to face with death

Funny I didn't get scared

I didn't cry

Why?

Well there's no easy answer for that

But when I look back

It was instant clarity for me

An isolated moment in time

When Everything stood still

And all I could will was nothing

'Cause in that slow but very, very, very fast moment

My spirit left my body

And all that remained was the flesh

The air seeped from my lungs

My tongue hung from my mouth

My heart sped up and stopped all at the same time

And I learned within madness exists peace

At it's purest form

Something that could not be found in the norm.

Aids

Is it a man or a woman?

Cuz it has no preference

Sometimes love, sometimes it's a two minute session

Sometimes young, sometimes old

Sometimes before they're even one year old

Sometimes a needle makes a hole

And provides an entrance to your soul

Some say it's man made

Some say it's God sent

Or some say lack of knowledge

Makes pure ignorance

Can you stop what you can't see?

Fight what has no face?

Trade places with the guilty

When none are innocent?

A liar is one who distorts the truth

Causing confusion amongst bitter fruits

If it's anything I hope to do

Is bring good health to a sick fruit

Aids, is it a man or a woman?

Cuz it has no preference

All are at risk of infection

Aids.

Anymore

I often find myself saying I've been here before

I often find myself praying that this doesn't happen anymore

Oh to adore something so free

That it has no obligation

Nor does it exist

In a plane outside of it's own

Then my good friend, something is wrong

For I know of no such thing

Perhaps it does not yet exist

Or maybe a myth that comes with the mist

On special occasions

Persuasions of the mind to the blind

Is not hard at all

But which way to indulge

A bad choice could remind you of the past

But how long shall it last

If only for a day, will you still play?

If only for a hour, will you still water the flower?

If only for a second, will you still play?

Or become afraid and run away

I often find myself saying I've been here before

I often find myself praying that this doesn't happen anymore.

Based on a True Story (part 1)

Erotic thoughts expose the truth

I have a cavity from my sweet tooth

Does this mean

That it is too bad for me

But too good to let go?

Or should I take one more lick before I go?

Soft and smooth

I hear my name

Just one more time Pappi

Oooh what the hell, it can't hurt

Plus the mouth is too much

Na na na, c'mon stay focused

Later for that, Ma

I gotta get goin'

Pappi, Pappi, what about this?

Oh sh*t, why she

Had to go there with it?

Now I'm in a tight spot

And my man's is gettin' on rock.

Black

Black as night

But bright as day

Soulful like old school Marvin Gaye

Hunted and led astray by man

But just as guilty

Sands of time tell a tale

About a people that will fail

Not from war, not from land

But by the hands of his own hands

Sold bare and shackled in chains

Stripped of all culture

But fame substitutes for a struggle

It's no reason we're in trouble

Black as night

But bright as day

Black, the opposite of white, but still the same

Black.

Brother Man

Sometimes I don't see the other man

But my brother man

Beating me down

All to obtain the same crown

As if I don't have enough problems

Or like we came from different fathers

Why bother trying to explain

There only interested in what they can gain

I'll maintain from deep roots

And ancestral troops

Who come with the wind to aid me in my quest

To abolish oppression and the homeless mess

That some, if not all choose to ignore

But there's always money for war

So I make a plea to my brother man

Not to be like the other man

And add to the flame

But use it to purify and change.

CAN I FLY

I'D SPREAD MY WINGS IF LIONS COULD FLY

NOT TO ESCAPE, BUT TO VIEW FROM THE SKY

OBSERVING ALL THE LITTLE THINGS OF LIFE

CONSULTING WITH THE HAWKS, EAGLES, AND WEAVER BIRDS

EXCHANGING OPINIONS AND DIFFERENT VIEWS OF WORDS

I'D SPREAD MY WINGS IF LIONS COULD FLY

NOT TO ESCAPE, BUT TO VIEW FROM THE SKY.

Champagne all over the place

Pop there goes the champagne

All over the place

He picks her up by the waist

Putting her in an impossible place

The whole time champagne is all over the place

Not knowing how she is feeling at the time

He simply blacks out in his mind

And for a brief moment in time

She is able to unwind

And know someone truly loves her

And the whole time champagne is all over the place.

Chant Down The Wicked

If you could see what I see

If you could hear what I hear

Then you would have no fear

In this land of tyrants

Bondage to da brain

Shackles and chains

I speak the truth

But every time I turn around

They gun us down

We just wanna be free

Live in harmony

But how is that

When I know for a fact

They think we’re inferior

If you could see what I see

If you cold hear what I hear

Then you would have no fear

In this land of tyrants

Bondage to da brain

Shackles and chains

I speak the truth

But every time I turn around

They gun us down

Tell me how HIV really came to be

Or is it that they target black every opportunity

Really slavery started from black on black crime

every time will pull us down

Maybe if you could see what I see

If you could hear what I hear

Then you would have no fear

In this land of tyrants.

Color

It doesn't matter the color of my skin

Cuz we all have black in the end

It doesn't matter the color of my skin

Because I know Jesus resides within

It doesn't matter the color of my skin

Because I've already shedded it

It doesn't matter the color of my skin

Cuz we all have the same father in the end

Color.
